HOW MUCH ARE SEASON FEES?

Registration Fees for the 2025-2026 season are $120.00. These fees are due at the time of registration and go towards our season expenses, which include referee fees and tournament registration costs. 

Uniform Fees are typically around $110-$120 for all new Heat players or for any past player who needs to order a new uniform. Ordering and payment of uniforms will be done directly through an ordering link provided by our vendor BNS Sports. This will be sent out shortly after the teams have been announced. WHAT UNIFORM DOES MY CHILD WEAR?

Morton Heat basketball uniforms are reversible and gender neutral. Boys and girls wear the same uniforms and the uniforms can be passed down to siblings for the next season. There is also an option to sell your uniform at the end of your child's Heat career if you choose. Your child's coach will be in communication with you in regards to what color (red or white) your child will be wearing for each game.

HOW OFTEN WILL MY CHILD HAVE PRACTICE?

Practice times and days are listed below:

BOYS - Monday and Wednesdays

3rd-4th Grade: 5:30-7:00 PM

5th-6th Grade: 7:00-8:30 PM

GIRLS - Tuesday and Thursdays

3rd-4th Grade: 5:30-7:00 PM

5th-6th Grade: 7:00-8:30 PM

The location of practices will be determined as season approaches. Morton Heat uses the Morton Elementary School gyms and the Jr. High for all practices. Practice begins around the last week of October and ends in February. You can also find your child's practice schedule in the "Schedule" tab in Crossbar.

WHAT SIZE BALL DOES MY CHILD USE?

All girls teams participating in Heat will use a size 28.5 basketball.

Boys in 3rd and 4th grade will use a size 28.5 basketball.

Boys in 5th grade will use a size 29.5 or size 7 basketball.

DO I NEED TO PURCHASE SPECIAL SHOES?

While it is not a requirement, we do recommend purchasing a sturdy pair of basketball shoes for your child to wear throughout the season. There are no special color requirements. Choose the style and shoe the best suits your child. Don't forget to bring these shoes to practice!

WHAT ELSE DOES MY CHILD NEED?

Your child will need a reversible red/white practice jersey for their practices. You can purchase these at your local sports store or online. We also recommend that your child bring their own basketball to each practice.
